Anyone have any pros/cons on the accubonds? I’ve never used them before but gonna give em a go this season. Loaded some 150’s for .308 using 42.6 gr. of H4895. Average velocity is 2,830. Anxious to see how they perform on a live target.

they are an excellent bullet, and perform good on game.

It's been my experience that the bonded bullets aren't needed on deer until you hit magnum velocity. I loaded Hornady's 150gr Interbond in my 308 and shot a few deer. Penciled them it seemed, very little blood, and not much of an exit wound. Swapped to Nosler Ballistic Tips and SSTs and the problem went away. Cheaper too.

Accubonds have given me great accuracy and very good blood trails in several cartridges.

The 165s are very accurate out of my 308.

Expand like a ballistic tip, penetrate like a partition, what’s not to like?

Great bullets. If they are accurate in your gun, which they typically shoot very well, you will not have any issues with them. Front end will fragment and shed weight creating a large initial wound channel nut typically retains 60% of it's weight for deep penetration.

Thanks for the replies. I have been shooting 150 gr. Nosler ballistic tips but they are hard to find nowadays. Accubonds are not quite as accurate as BT’s but plenty accurate enough for hunting.

I’ve loaded of pile of BTs and Accubonds and my experience is they damn near shoot identical.

Drive down to Montrose and stop by Gold Mine pawn shop. They'll take care of your powder and bullet needs. They have a good assortment of Nosler bullets. Especially the BT's you're looking for. If not check out BPS in Spanish Fort on your way home.

Excellent bullets on game and generally shoot very good.only complaint they tend to be more finicky between rifle's than the Hornady interlocks I normally run.but that's my experience. in 338-06 they work VERY well for that rifle but they don't group well in none of my 308's no matter bullet weight or powder combo.

Partitions and Accubonds shoot equally well in all the cartridges I load. However, I only load for 6 different cartridges(25-06, 270Win, 7-08, 7 SAUM, 308, and 30-06) in 7 different rifles.

I buy all of my Nosler bullets and brass from Shootersproshop.com.

I've been really happy with the accubond in my 7mag and my 7mm-08. I've only shot 1 doe with the 7mm-08 which was last year and she was facing me and the bullet entered her chest and I found it right in front of her left hind quarter just under the hide and it was a perfect mushroom. Forgot to mention that I shoot the 140 grain in both the 7mm-08 and the 7mag.

They are one of the best lead pills out there. I have witnessed a 130gr out of a 270win penetrate both shoulders of a average size 175lb buck then a doe standing five feet behind him. 1 shot 2 kill thing. I get half dollar size exits with them.

I'm shooting a 160 gr out of a 7mag with 64 grain reloaded 22 and it is death. Had extremely good luck on deer with it

Try the 168 grain ballistic tip hunting out of a 308. I am getting around 2715 FPS and it leaves a big hole. I love the accubonds but don’t see the need for them in a 308.

If you like them and your gun likes them then shoot them.
