Won't take the new smell totally out, but I don't really think it's a major issue anyhow especially if you are hunting with the right wind. I would be much more concerned about noises a new tree stand makes much more than smell. For instance, in my experience a new Summit climber's teeth will squeak against a hard barked tree because of the new paint. Take a file and rough up the paint on the teeth a little bit. It'll give you a little more bite in the tree as well as reduce or eliminate noise.
