Amazing you are an hour and 15 from me and our rut kicks in early-mid Janurary. We are just now starting to see a few fawns drop.

Lil' spotted fawns were sighted in Monte Sano in the park three weeks ago. Crazy peak rut periods.

Saw a group the other day. Largest ones still in velvet and smaller ones had shed. One really caught my eye. Hope to have a new wallpaper bill.

Plenty deer in Petrey, just real bad genetics. That's why advise none to hunt there!

On 8/30 I came as close as I've ever come to knocking the spots off of one that bounded out into the road in front of me about 300 yds from my house. Last week an incredibly pregnant doe just stood under an oak tree as I parked my car one evening. I think she was too pregnant to run. I parked about 20 yds from her and sat there looking at her. She just kinda waddled off at pregnant ladies pace.
