Ok the WMS threads have got me looking at their products. We’ve always just bought our wheat, rye, oats and clover and mixed them in the hopper when we are planting at the club. The Alabama blend and deer magnet blends look to be 2 or 3 times more expensive than mixing the way we normally do it. So are these blends really worth the extra expense?

Blends are convenient for a fellow who only plants a few acres and WMS is a good one. If you have several acres , roll your own.

Agree with that. I have buddy that plants 20 plots with that stuff though 😳

We plant 3 plots every year using both of those blends. Our total acreage for the 3 plots is just under 1 Acre so for us its easier to buy it pre-bagged. If we were planting several acres, we would most certainly make up our own blend as it would be more cost effective. But, no doubt about it, Deer Magnet and Alabama blend are both great products.

Same here. Easier to just buy what I need and have had great results with both.

40bucks, I'm in your same position as far as green field sizes, got 4 probably not much over an acre. How much seed to y'all normally use. In the past usually BFO on 2 fields and 3/4 way on others. Looking at something a little different this year.
