Just got a Town of Brantley Alabama speed safety program notice basically saying I have ignored their first notice (which I evidently never received). So now it says I owe $105. But it does not tell me what I did wrong (I assume speeding as it's from the speed safety program) and says the penalty is necessary to prevent potential civil proceedings.

Any aldeer experts got any pertinent information that may help me make an informed decision?

I would give them a call and settle up as badly as I hate it for you.
Me and Treemydog just rode through that speedtrap of a town.
I warned him ahead of time that Brantley don't play that.

If you came down US 331....you went right through Brantley....and yes you best slow down going through there. They don't play.

I'd ask about it and then ask for their evidence

Worked with a guy that spent some TDY time working in South Africa.
After he returned he got a bill for over 2 thousand$$ in Electronically
Generated speeding violations.
He said now I know what those flashing lights on poles on the side
of the road were doing.

You mean you didn't see the big sign for photo enforced speeding violation? Whoever set the speed limits in Brantley is evil incarnate! loco It goes down from 45-35 then down to 30 up to 35 and back to 25 by the school. I just go 30 once I cross the bridge to avoid the slow down speed up slow down. I remember some bonehead passed me because I was going 30 and he got stroked by the Brantley cops. People are just ignorant. Everyone knows Brantley is a speed trap so just slow down until you get out of town. rofl loco

Just call them. They'll waive the first one.

He'll never be disowned because of all he's done for the school and city.

Brantley is the beach speeding trap capital of South Alabama. Been that way as far as I can remember.

They can’t do anything about it. I got one in South Dakota two years ago and researched it. Basically, it’s a civil issue and they can’t report it to the credit bureau without a contractual agreement to call back on. So, they just send out the tickets and make millions from the portion of people who decide to pay. Disclaimer: I’m making the assumption that Brantley’s is the same setup as the one I got. If you’re worried about it, send them a check for $5 with “all disputes settled, amount paid in full” on the memo. Take a picture of it, and when they cash it, that’s binding.

I thought everyone knew Brantley and Uniontown are speed traps. Brantley is the worst.

They sent me a picture of my wife’s suburban going 12 mph over their speed limit. I returned the letter with a shove it comment. 2 or 3 months later I received two letters, one from a company in Arizona and one from the town of Brantley. The one from Brantley I told them that if they could show a picture with the posted speed limit with my suburban in the background then I would consider allowing them to convince me of my guilt through due process. The letter from the company in Arizona asked who was driving, so I responded that from the crappy picture they sent, I could not tell who was driving but if I remember correctly I loant the vehicle to the mayor of Brantley so I wrote his name and address on the letter and told them to send the ticket to him and he would take care of it. That was May of 2018 and I have not heard another word from them and I absolutely refuse to give in like a pansy ass and pay it.
