Better comparison is the T3x and the Bergara Ridge. Both will be shooters. With the Tikka you’ll get stainless, a little less weight, and a one size fits all action. With the Ridge you’ll get a heavier barrel that’s threaded, a true long or short action and a heckuva lot nicer stock than the Tikka. I’ve been a long time Tikka fan that has since swapped over to almost exclusively using Bergara rifles just because they feel a little nicer to me. Either one will be very accurate. To me they’re the two best factory options out there for your dollar with both of them being available for $650ish shipped to your ffl

Kinda what I had found was what you have said. Thanks for the additional info

And you can buy a Kimber Hunter in that same price range.
I was a serious Tikka fan until I shot a Kimber Hunter. Unless I get a smoking deal on a Tikka, I would only buy Kimber.
I've not seen much positive feedback on Kimber accuracy

I've not seen much positive feedback on Kimber accuracy It's hard to tell though if most of it is gun or user related. Lots of people have trouble with extremely light rifles and even very small things like a binding mag box will baffle a lot of shooters. To me however I would buy a Used Montana long before a Hunter model. The Carbon fiber stock is the main selling point to me,but the Kimber is a real sweet miniature modified Mauser action with an excellent and simple trigger,if you prefer that.

I've killed 3 yotes over 240 yards with kimber montana it's a sweet lil gun I'm sure they are more accurate guns but I only hunt with mine and I ain't scared to shoot at anything under 300yd with it...if u gonna be shooting futher u might wanna get something different

I've not seen much positive feedback on Kimber accuracy Consider that you have now. I have shot 9 different Kimber Hunter models now, and all would shoot sub-MOA with factory ammo, 3 shots from a cold bore. Several of those would put the first two in the same hole, with the third about 1/2" away. More shots than that might open up a bit, but it is a really light rifle with a thin barrel profile. I shot one in .257 Roberts that weighed 6 lbs 3 oz with a Swarovski 2.5-10 x 42 mm scope (30mm tube) in Talley Lightweight mounts. Recoil was very light, probably due to stock design.

The B14 hunter I have is match-grade accurate with factory stuff. Tikkas can be, also. The weight of the Tikka is more comparable to a Kimber, and the Bergara to a Remington 700 ....5-6# ranges vs 7-8# ranges. I saw a barely used 700 AWR in 270 in a shop today that’s in the greyboe stock, for cheap.....since they don’t know what they have. That might be another alternative, if you spring for a Timney.
