Ok I don't know sh!t about this , I freely admit
9 mm in a 16 inch barrel .
Any advantage you gain from a 16 inch barrel is lost before the bullit's comes out . You back to short barrel speeds .
Can you fix that ??????

What speeds you looking for? Yes the 9 doesn't shine like the .357/41/44/45 out of a rifle but Blue dot and AA#7 will make your 9 .357 like.
Only hits count.

The 9 will improve with slower burners just keep to 100-125 grainers, the 135s 147s raise pressure a bit. If you want more hitting power go bigger the .41 .44.45 long colt way better than a 9 carbine.
Only hits count.

I saw much the same with the .45 ACP in the longer barrel of the Hi Point carbine (a fun, but heavy little gun). I don't load for 9mm anymore, but in the case of the .45, the case capacity is so small, even with max loads of slower-burning powders you don't see all that much of a gain over a standard 1911.
