Actually, it probably will be crappie in the yard.
Plus, according to some, the roots of that stuff will bust those buckets and eat your house over nite. Good luck find them brush piles tomorrow to put out.

Looks great btw. Should serve a good purpose for quite a while.

Is it against any kind of laws or rules to put those out and if so how would a fellow haul them things without being seen? Asking for a friend of course.

I'm gonna put them out during the week. Not as much boat traffic.

Consider who you'd be dealing with -- TVA and/or Alabama Power -- and imagine if they have any regulations about putting things in "their" waterways.

At one time Alabama Power was putting in bamboo structures just like that and providing coordinates. The materials are natural are are not a harm to the environment unless one is using recycled chemical/petroleum buckets.

On the TN river, you're supposed to provide a written proposal asking for permission for a certain area. If you get permission, then you have to provide a written proposal for permission for types of materials, in that defined area. If you get past those 2 hurdles, then once your structure is in place it has to be permanently marked by permanent buoys on each end stating there is fishing structure present.

Your key phrase in this is "Alabama Power was putting in ..."

Their rationale would be that THEY can do it but you can't.

You can put all you want out. Just don't be drinking while doing so. Lol. But I have multiple locations just so I won't get my feelings hurt when I go out and there are boats on them already.

More fun for everyone!

Back to the OP, those are good looking brushtops. Nice work! Do you use Quikcrete in the bucket and how much? Half the bucket? Less or more?

Yes I use quickcrete and I usually put rocks in the bottom to save on the concrete. I also had some 10 inch pvc and cut them to length and used them too. I will use anything that will hold concrete.
