This may be a stupid question. I am planning to go fishing in OB over Labor Day wknd. I know all licenses expire on aug 31. How will that work if I purchase a trip license on Aug 30. Hoping I would not have to purchase another one just to fish that Sunday. And My sister can cook better than any 5 star chef so I won’t need info on places to eat down there lol

Call the DCNR at 334-242-3465 and ask for Law Enforcment, and ask them.

If all licenses expire August 31, buying a 3- or 5-day to carry over won't help you. They expire on August 31.

I don't even think you can get a 3 or 5 day NR license anymore. I thought it was just 7 days and I don't think it will let you purchase one inside of 7 days till expiration. What a pickle.

not sure what the best way to handle them is but they shouldnt be on tv and gettn married and raisin kids

Did you call the DCNR to see what they suggest?

The 2019-20 licenses went on sale today so you may be able to purchase a trip license now, to start whatever day you need it to start this weekend, and be good to go.

https://www.alabamainteractive.org/dcnr_license/welcome.action

Probably could call DCNR to double check on this. 334-242-3469

Looking on the license purchase page (here), it shows the annual license as expiring 8/31/2020, and shows the "trip" license as expiring 7 days from purchase

Called the DCNR today. I can buy a trip and it’s good for the 7 days. Does not expire on the 31
