Ive been watching it in and off. That kid is tearing it up. think they will play Hawaii next. They will get eliminated swiftly. Those Samoan/Jap kids can play.

Those Hawaiian kids are HUGE. One of them is 5’10” and weighs 231! And they’re only 12 years old.

The LLWS is way overrated imo. Field too short bases too short. Seen pop ups go over. Put em on a field that’s appropriate for their age.

My 11u plays 50ft mounds, leads of, pitchers have to come set, can balk, steal bases whenever, etc. It’s all still baseball and I love watching it with my boys.
There’s also some scrappy 4ft 80lbers out there giving it hell. Go LA!

LL is good, but ESPN acts like that it is the only
youth baseball.
Anyone can beat anyone (within reason) in baseball.
When I was young, it was impossible for us to get
into LL. We needed $35,000 just to have a regulation
field.
This was around '59 or so. There wasn't $35,000 in
kick around money in the whole town of 8,000
people.

Those are not the best teams in the world 12 and under. Those are just the kids playing LL. There are much better teams out there playing, they just don’t play in LL. They have a TV deal and have for years. That is the only reason everyone thinks they are so great. Go to one of the youth tournaments at Cooperstown in the summer and you will see much better play overall.

I said they were the best teams from ONE TOWN/LEAGUE. You're talking about travel ball. The best players from several towns/cities creating a team. LLWS is teams chosen from one town/league that make it all the way to Williamsport. I like it better simply for that reason.
