Call the DCNR in Montgomery at 334-242-3465 and ask for the Law Enforcement Section, and ask them to make sure.

I agree, timber, but I'll guarantee you someone somewhere would say, "Hey, you can't shoot those with that. It says so in Rule 29-39A-ZC-cross on Two Hut-Hut" and write a citation.

Is it legal to hunt coyotes in Alabama with buckshot? I read on a message board that it is not legal in Tennessee, but I could see no such restriction in Alabama. Am I missing it? Thanks in advance for your help. You have not missed it. I looked for that just last week. It ain't there. There is a coyote information pdf on Outdoor Alabama that says buckshot is a great way to kill coyotes, but also right above that they said using nightvison is a great way to hunt them, which is illegal. Daylight hours only. So that said, I wouldn't trust that for anything. If you find out please let us know. I'm curious too.

Shot a coyote in the face 2 years ago from about 30 feet with #6. He couldn’t tell that they weren’t #4’s!
