Very nice buck. How'd you preserve it until May? Did you freeze the cape? I did. The whole head and cape was double bagged in my deep freeze.

Fine buck! Did you score him? Thanks man! He grossed around 128. Good tine length and mass but not very wide. High and tight is a great combo for deer, it looks great!

May just be me but the dead buck looks different than the mount. Forehead on the one on the ground looks blacker that the one on the mount. Also tines look longer on the mount. Not trying to be rude. It's awesome buck as I posted earlier. May just need better glasses No you’re right. The lighting in the bedroom makes the hide look different. After you posted that I went upstairs and looked at him to make sure he didn’t swap capes on me 😀
