Cool. That’s a lot better than my fawn encounters so far this year.

Kuhn cutter, parts slung everywhere. Almost got another one with the track loader, thankfully it moved right before I hit it.

Cute little suckers. Crazy to think a coyote would even full with them. They don’t look like they’d have much meat on em.

Odds are at least one of them is coyote scat by now.

Maybe one of the resident biologists can chime in,but according to a friend of mine that runs a deer farm down here,he told me that these appeared to be 3 days old. Coincidentally,I was I at his farm this past Monday, and he has 13 fawns on the ground now, ranging from 3 days to 8 days old,and these were right on par with the size and mannerisms of his youngest. He also said if a fawn makes it past the 3 day mark, shes less likely to succumb to death for health complications,so that was encouraging. I maybe see one or 2 yotes a yr on our place. See way more Bobcats usually. I believe they'd be just as hard on em in my neck of the woods. We'll see. Definitely something I'll never forget
