I thought it would be nice to share our first deer story's. 1989 I was 15 yrs old. Button head at 35 yards. Early 80s model PSE bow, 125 grain satellite broadheads.

Killed my first one about 7:30 in the morning on 11/6/94, 2 days shy of my 27th birthday. It was a 60# doe. I was sitting in a ladder stand within bow range of three white oaks dropping acorns in a strip of hardwoods about 75 yards from my front door here in Fosters. Shot her a 33 yards. I was aiming behind the shoulder and hit her through the neck with an Easton 2213 tipped with a 125gr 4 blade Muzzy. Dropped her in her tracks. I was shooting a Browning Mag Compact with a 27” draw pulling 57#. Didn’t get one the following season, but I’ve killed at least one every bow season since 1996.

1981 killed a doe with a Browning bow shooting instinctively. I was a happy camper. Was up in Killingsworth Cove. Had a big ol leaning oak tree that had two stands in it . I was in one and a buddy was in the other. Also has a cousin in a tree next to us. I was teaching them how to bow hunt. They both had one but she gave me a shot. Never forget that day.

1995 I was 13yr old in hale county shooting a browning black knight. She was a little farther than I guesstimated and 1 blade clipped the bottom of her heart. I ain’t near as mad at them now as I was then. Crazy how you remember those details and I can’t remember what happened yesterday

1985 on the old Thomas WMA. About 4:00pm had a doe come into the field broadside at 20 yards. I drew back, put the pin on the heart, and turned loose of the string with my fingers. Perfect shot and she went about sixty yards. This was the first with the bow. It's been a long time ago, but I can still remember it like it was yesterday.

November 2008. 23 years old. Late 90’s bear bow dad handed down to me. Magnus stinger broad head, because that’s what ted nugent used lol. Dekalb co, Georgia. In the cheapest climber I could buy with no safety harness. Couldn’t of been more than 15 feet off the ground but it felt like 40. Sitting along a creek in a privet thicket. Had 3 does come down the trail and I shot at one she ran off but the others just stood around. thought for sure I missed so I knocked another arrow and shot another one. Saw the arrow hit that one and knew it was a good shot. Got down to track them and they were both piled up within 5 feet of each other And my streak isn’t as long as Shaw’s, but I’ve killed at least one a year every year since then. Took me until Feb 10 this past year

About 1990 at Skyline. Shot a small doe, about 35lbs with a Jennings UniCam bow, Easton aluminum arrow (probably 2117) and most likely Thunderhead broadhead, if they were on the market at that time.
I firmly believe that a double gallows should be constructed on the East Lawn of The White House. Politicians who willfully and shamelessly violate their oath to uphold and defend the Constitution of the United States of America should be swiftly tried and, upon conviction, publicly hanged at sunup the day after conviction. If multiple convicts are to be hanged they can choose with whom to share the gallows or names shall be drawn from the hangman's hat to be hanged 2 at a time.

70's sometime. Doe with a Bear Whitetail.
Life is a journey. Make sure and bring plenty of Beer.
My luck has been so bad lately, it could be raining pussies and I'd catch one with a dick broke off in it.

Nov 2014. Opening day of rifle season. The guys I was hunting with looked at me like I was crazy when I walked out the door of the camp house that evening with a bow. It was late afternoon when I heard footsteps over my right shoulder. See what I thought was 2 does crossing behind me, feeding. when they got behind the tree, I spun around and waited for them to come out on the other side of my tree. Was in an awkward half-crouch because my harness tether was in the way. Drew on the bigger "doe" and realized it was a small buck with a broken spike on one side and a weird, busted up forky antler on the other. Didn't care. As soon as he stopped, I shot. 25ish yds, slight quartering away. arrow went in just behind his last rib and exited around the far side shoulder. He ran about 50ish yds I think, and piled up. Deer hunting still doesn't come close to turkeys for me, but that was the closest it got, in terms of excitement and adrenalin.
