Wife is coming with me on a trip to Montgomery. I promised to treat her to a nice lunch. Any nice spots??

Thanks for tips on grills. I went with Irishguys advice and got the Kamado from Lowe’s. $825 out the door and came with the accessories I needed. Now, got to learn to manage that heat😁

No help on the good eats with the wife. I only know about hole in the wall joints.

Think the heat is managed by controlling air flow. Took me some time on the egg but now it’s easy. Smart move on the Joe by the way.

Sinclairs out east has a good lunch. The pot roast is the best I've ever had if they have it today. Tipping point in Hampstead is good too. Don't think Central is open for lunch but could be wrong. If you're wanting something kinda swanky, The Vintage Cafe' is nice too. If you want deli style food, we eat at Chappy's a lot and it's also very good for lunch.

Depends on what part of town. Old Cloverdale has a fun pizza place and Dirks Filet and Vine is a fine meat and 3 and deli! if you like Tia food go to the Green Papaya on coliseum.

Haven't eat at Chappy's in a while but was good when I did.

Urban Cookhouse at Eastchase has some good food the couple of times I've been in there.

IS THE BREW PUP downtown still open. What about the farm house cafe up the road from the brew pup. It's been awhile since I work over in the area just remembering.

Sams has the best BBQ in town it looks like a run down hole in the wall but the food is great we been eating there at least twice a month since I was a kid. Peytons place is good for a homecooked southern meal its just a meat and 3 place but is good and alot of sides to choose from on the menu i always get the fried green tomatoes nanner pudding and field peas with whatever the special for the day is

I think the brew pub is now the Railyard Brewing Company and yes the Farmers Market Cafe is still in business and is another good place to eat

You said Eats "near" Montgomery. Take 231 twards Wetumpka and go to Must Stop Cafe for the best meat and 3 around Montgomery or stop half way at Casa Nopoli.
Go out Atlanta highway to Wishbone cafe for a little Cajun/ Creole or go on out to Martha's place for some good buffet style meat & veggies.
If on the west side go to the Stockyard cafe for a Damn samdwich or a Ribey samwich. (nothing fancy. It is in the stockyard so it smells like cattle)

But if you want the absolute best, go to Jim's BBQ in Billingsley.
