Ive got a 55gallon drum on legs that funnels down to a tractor disk blade. The corn sets on the disk blade. I put it out and filled it up last year. My deer wouldnt eat off a plate. I wound up taking it out a bucket at a time and pouring it out on the ground. Theyll stay under a spinner on a tripod all night but they wont eat off a plate.

How do you suspend them? Seems like the coons would clean you out quick.

I built a few of the pvc pipe feeders years ago, but didn’t put caps on them. Squirrels would go in the top, not be able to climb out, and die. Need some type of cap.

I've got a couple similar to those but took a 5 gal.bucket cut a hole in the bottom of it the same size as pipe.
Then screwed 3 small blocks of wood to top of pipe fastened bucket to wood and you have about 30-35lb.
more feed. I put a spacer to keep bucket off the tree and strap it to tree. I've changed my
buckets from plastic to metal and have even used a 10gal galvanized bucket from tractor supply.
The metal buckets stops squirrels from chewing the plastic buckets. The metal and galvanized buckets all have metal lids.

77 I've had the same problem with some of the barrel feeders, I've learned if they have been freshly painted let them sit awhile and let the paint
smell ease off. It just takes awhile for deer to get used to them I've seen it take 2 months for them to get where they'll
eat out of them. Sometimes they take right to them though.

I thought about doing a feeder like the black one. Where did you get the pipe?
