I use to think this thing was pretty accurate but I'm dry as a bone. Grass is crispy and trees are browning. According to the map...it's normal. Anybody else?

Lots of rain around this weekend but not enough to matter in Autaugaville (south central Autauga).

It’s dry all over. Where did you go to find the map?

Were right on an edge of the yellow but a guarentee you at my house it has been as dry as it was three years ago. We get a shower now and then but three days of 90° wind dries it up in a hurry. Ponds and the river are down as low as ever. Dad gum its dry.

Front yards are not drought monitors either.

Ponds around here are normal for summer, if not above. Heavy gumbo clay soils in the shade or bottoms are still pretty wet in most areas where I work.

Google "alabama drought monitor" and look around. Can't remember the exact link but it was one of the first search results.

We got a good rain yesterday evening sometime while me and the boy were gone fishing, yesterday morning there was a storm brewing here close to the house, I pulled up the radar on my phone, we were sitting in a donut hole in a storm, there was yellow and red on the radar all the way around us for an hour, it sprinkled here a bit but I never saw a drop run off the eve of the house. That has happened more than I want to talk about this summer. Were just sitting in a dry hole for one reason or another. Grounds good and wet right now, maybe weve turned the corner.

I have no idea what those colors mean. But my hillside is dry and desperately need rain.

Ponds around here are currently about 2 feet low. Many are dried up completely.

Good site prep burning weather. After last year I’ll take a little dryness

Bad dry here in NW Marshall Cty. We have 2 ponds on the farm that are down better than 3 feet, they wasn't this low 3 years ago and are the lowest I've seen them in my 19 years here. I havent mowed my yard in 3-1/2 weeks and it don't need it now. Weather guessers said 60% chance of rain today for north AL, well looks like they were wrong again.
