What a load of crap. Less than 100 bottles total per location, a person can buy up to 3 bottles total. If you're not in the 1st 33 in line, good chance you'd show up for nothing. You'd be a fool not to buy your alotted 3 bottles and scalp them if you weren't going to keep them

Damn morons.
A sweepstakes would indicate you WIN something, not BUY something!

I reckon I could afford about anything I would want to drink and ain’t no way in hell I’d pay more than $100 or so for a half gallon of liquor. I could cook something better for less, and did for years, with an old family recipe and some time in a barrel .
Limited release liquor means “ we’re gonna tear your ass up 2 ways and you can brag to your so called friends about one or both”

Just another sign of lots of folks new American dream, spending money they ain’t got on crap they don’t need to impress folks they really don’t like much anyway

Wish they would do away with the entire board.
Run an audit on the organization and personal
audit on the management.

Yup, why is the state government in the retail business?
It's quite interesting that Alabama conservatives aren't raising holy hell about the AlabamaBoozeCartel.

Bought a case of Famous Grouse at Publix in Perdido,
for $20 plus tax per handle.
Have no idea what the cost would be at the ABC store
if they even have it.
Frisky Whiskey in West Point sells it for $42 plus tax
per handle.
Hope this isn't too far off topic.

Famous Grouse is one of my favorite "go to" scotches.

ABC stores sell the handle for $49.99.
We aren't getting ripped off, we are downright
screwed by them.

Yet the anti big government overreach conservatives in Alabama don't even mumble a peep about this.
The AlabamaBoozeCartel is a slap in the face to what Republicans/conservatives stand for.

You've got government overreach and free market limitations in one garbage alphabet soup agency.

I live in GA where the liquor stores are private businesses. I buy for significantly less than the ABC stores.

I can buy a 1.75L bottle of Makers Mark at Costco in a certain state for about half of what the AlabamaBoozeCartel charges.
We in Alabama are 500+/- miles south of the Makers distillery.

Based on those sorts of FAT margins you would think the streets in Alabama would be paved with gold.

But why isn't the citizenry of Alabama up in arms, especially the hardcore gun totin F'off government free market capitalism conservatives?
People talk about all sorts of things in daily life here but I don't ever hear let us overthrow the AlabamaBoozeCartel.

I may be wrong, but I think I read this somewhere. Alabama is the second highest State on liquor prices. The only state higher in prices is
Utah, I would presume that was because of the Mormons.

It's not how much money you make, but how much you can keep.
