I went for a ride this morning at 0530 to look for bulls and then to our field to check beaver traps. Basically traps set on trails leaving the river to enter the field. I get to the first trap, GONE. I was like dang man, lol... Ground was all scratched up and then I noticed a path in the field so, I knew the trap/animal traveled into the field. Followed the patch to my trap with a beaver in it. Yotes had drug it off... Cool, beaver and my trap recovered. Basically, I walk a fence line from trap to trap and its easy walking. Next traps about 40yds up. I go to the next trail and before I can even look for the trap, ###!#!!##! ##!!***#, Aw hell naw!!!! Dang YOTE runs up the river bank towards me, turning body sideways, growling and nothing but teeth. What a way to get woke up fo-sho! Home now to grab a 22. Not sure if he has a foot in a conibear or if he was eating something in the trap, heard me, and thought I was another coyote. Best be gone when I go back after breakfast or he's gonna get a 22 to the noggin. That's freaky getting bumb-rushed by one of those
