It was 1 acre of anywhere he wanted to choose from and he picked the dag um center of the cow farm...im actually really glad I found this out before it was done...its my grandads land but he's 85 and will be mine before long and i sure wouldn't want a thief living in the center of a 1k acre tract of pasture..u can hunt pops land anytime your this way james...no deed necessary 😁

Man, don't ever do that! Even if it's your own kin, never give an acre in the middle. That guy was smart enough to know you'd also have to deed him access and then he'd control half of your land.
I know someone right now, dealing with that issue on some timber land. It's a huge problem.

You'd really have messed up giving 1 ace in the middle of your property.

Lesson learned. I can think of many people who had workers, and gave them property for homes. Nothing but bad blood and headaches thereafter.

If your dead set on them owning the property, make it be on the edge of what you own. And let them work for the property, at a lesser value.

Most people appreciate things worked for rather than being giventi them.

Why don’t you just write a lease agreement for $1 a month with your terms? I wouldn’t give anyone not family anything.
