I'd try true car and kbb for a general baseline. Then check sites like carmax and carvana, just know those sites are generally a few thousand higher than anywhere else.

How old is the grandson? When I was 16 my dad gave me a 20 year old truck. He said that was the only one I would ever get for free. My next one would be on my dime.

My grandson is zoomed in on buying a 2016 Ford turbo 6 cyl, platinum, loaded out truck with 33,000 miles. They want $41,000, which I think is too high. What would be a realistic offer for him to try? He can get a new one for less than 40K, maybe not that specific model but definitely a 2019. I would think somewhere around 30K would be more reasonable for that truck.

I would be worried about Truck holding it's value with a V6 The V6 3.5 Ecoboost is considered the premium motor in that truck. Pretty sure it's about a $2500 higher option.

That offers 375 HP and 470 lb ft of torque. 5.0 makes 395hp and 400 lb ft of torque.
