Anyone know anything about these reels? Looking at trying one for Catfishing. I hate to drop $120 on an Abu Garcia 6500 that I’m going to use a few times per year. I don’t want to waste $50 either https://www.amazon.com/KastKing-Rov...amp;s=gateway&sr=8-2-spons&psc=1

I don’t own one, but I’ve done a crap ton of research on them. Can’t really find anything bad about them. Some folks saying they like them better than the Abus. Severa guys on FB catfish forums swear by them. I’m going to order a couple of the 60’s before to long.

Two of the tallest people on aldeer responding back to back on a thread. Impressive. BBB, the write up about them sounds like they're made almost identical to the Abus

Buy once and cry once That's my normal method, but DANG they're high. That big catfish you lost get in your head? I bought a real heavy ugly stik from AC870 and put an ambassador on it for my son, in case he hung a real big one. I was wondering why you didnt chase that fish? Yeah, I want another shot at it. I've been in that hole 4 times and I had a fish break off and my son did last year. I'm gonna catch that big son of a gun before it's over with. I have had 3 of them for 2 years now and have No complaints at all Thanks!

If you're going to be catfishing below dams go ahead and get a 7000 with 80# power pro paired with a tiger rod . Don't carry a knife to a gun fight

IMO that aren't worth fooling with. I base my opinion on the simple fact that they aren't sold by TACKLE WAREHOUSE. If they would hold up they'd sell'em.

Thanks for all the replies. I’ll look into the Tiger rods. Never heard of them but I’m new to all this. I hate a dang slimy catfish. I have no plans to fish for eating sized fish, all I plan to do is trophy “hunt”

I’ve got s big Warrior Cat rod I need to put a reel on. I think I’m going with heavy mono. Pro catfish man told me braid and rocks don’t mix.

Fur, you got me to digging again. I’ve been looking at the Okuma Classic series and the Penn Rival 15 and 20. They are all in the same price range as the KK and look like they maybe a better quality.
The Okuma 300 CLX is about $40 and has 17lbs of drag and a bait clicker.
