Well... Apparently Buzz and Neil would have just been loft stranded there to die...

This is a copy of Nixon's speech he pre-prepared in case of just that scenario. Chilling to think about it...

They would have been rescued by the aliens who gave us the Apollo technology.

And Bigfoot would have probably lent a hand too... Because he can easily shift from one dimension to another.

IMHO, you had to have a set on you to strap yourself into a rocket and go on that mission, knowing well you have a good chance of not coming back. It still amazes me how those men and women figured out how to make it happen. And please save us all the trouble with the "It was filmed in Area 51" bs.

Well... If it was indeed filmed in Area 51 and/or faked then why would President Nixon have needed that speech written?

That crap is as bad as the fact that there are still people that think the Earth is flat.

If it had failed then the Russians probably would’ve beaten us in the space race because American confidence and excitement about NASA would’ve failed with another attempt that went awry

It's been centuries since anyone actually thought the earth was flat. Way before Christopher Columbus. No one thought he was going to fall off the edge of the world.

You are mistaken my friend. There are millions of people on Facebook and YouTube who truly believe the earth is flat. Go check our the flat earth society on Facebook.

Oh I know there is now. I meant the historical viewpoint. It wasn't really like people in the year 1492 all thought the earth was flat.

The flat earthers now are so stupid, it's hilarious.

I know 2 folks, personally, that really believe the earth is flat. Both believe there is a giant "ice wall" (Game of Thrones?) that runs all the way around the edge, and the "wall" is guarded by some sort of army (UN?)

I saw in one of the recent specials that about the only system without redundancy was the ascent motor on the lunar lander. If it didn't fire and get then back to the orbiter then they were stuck on the moon.

There has been much speculation over the years whether or not astronauts carried cyanide pills in case of such a situation. Guess we'll never know.

Would that have been before or after his fight with Colonel Steve Austin? If after, then it was one-armed Bigfoot.

Good thing they put CBD oil in the rocket booster or they’d never made it home. 😁
