I hunt at night with a kill light and typically use a female howl call or a rabbit in distress, but what is the most effective in your opinion?

The most effective IMO is a MB-550 or a NO-BS KO K9 X-TREME

1.Land with coyotes on it
2 a thermal optic
3 . Time of year and location plays a big part in the call. From challenge calls, distress (bird, mouse, rabbit, pup distress)
I killed 25-30 off of 1 farm last year but it was just a natural travel route with plenty of food sources available .

Best thing I've ever done was sit in a pasture with about 50 momma cows during calving season. They love placenta.

Agree. I have never had any luck calling them in. Find the trails, find the poop.

This is true.

Life is a journey. Make sure and bring plenty of Beer.

My luck has been so bad lately, it could be raining pussies and I'd catch one with a dick broke off in it.

I hunt in Georgia where it is legal to use thermal to night hunt, so I've never hunted much during the day.

We have more success using vocals than we do distress sounds. No clue what caller you are using but if you have a Foxpro try starting out with c34 (male coyote howl) for a couple howls then a pause for a minute or two...cycle through 3 or 4 series like that. Then move to c28 (female yodel howls) and play it the same way as the male howl. Then move to pup and distress and let it play continuously and cycle the volume up and down.

We will occasionally try distress but vocals seem to produce more.
