We planted some Obsession this time. It came on and made some fine corn. Stalks barely 3-4 feet tall. Anyone else ever planted this? I think it’s gonna be our go to corn every year. Couple of us go in together and buy a bag. It’s high as Giraffes Azz! Lol

A friend, the Bible and a banker will get you though about anything.

I planted the obsession 2 for the first time this year. I really like it. Last year we planted the Aspire 2 and did very well with it also. I have obsession 2, remedy 2, and aspire 2 growing right now. You can see the process in all my post below. Also these sugar extender varieties really take lots of water. If it’s dry I run the drip tape every 2 days and side dress once a week with ammonium sulfate. (21% nitrogen)

I think something up with the obsession 2 this year, or at least with what seed i bought. Every bit of mine is like said...waist high. Never seen corn this short?

The harder I practice, the luckier I get.

My first planting of obsession 2 got about 5’. The last planting is way over my head. About 7’ tall. I side dressed it once a week with ammonium sulfate and irrigated it every other day if it didn’t rain.

Lots of farmers said this was a bad year for corn planted early and had crappy luck.

Be kind to one another and tell the ones you love that you love them often. We never know what tomorrow will bring.
