It just tastes so much better and you know where it came from and what’s in it. Also a little sweat is good for you. Keeps your pores from clogging up. rofl

Sorry, I can't help you.
I plant stuff for deer, and I if I get anything from it, I consider it a bonus.

Just, a few minutes ago, finished turning my peas under. The deer already ate them to the dirt and there was nothing left but stems. Sitting here wondering if I want to replant them tomorrow or just screw it.

The garden doesn’t piss and moan. Nobody stops to bother you when you’re working in the garden because they’re afraid you’ll ask them to help. The garden doesn’t get mad if you look at the neighbor’s garden. Chicks dig guys with a green thumb.

I may have just got permission to garden about 1/4 acre spot close to home. Was an old garden spot before. Dedicated corn patch if it works out

I could enjoy a garden, if veggies grew in the winter.

LOL, had a squash/tater/mater/onion casserole last night, and again tonight with venison cubed steak and peas.

I'm getting maters like crazy right now.

It's cheaper to just buy what you want to put up. Lot of people raise large fields of purple hull peas. Just have to pick and pay

Two roads diverged in the woods and I took the one with deep ruts, hills and mud.It may be bumpy but WHAT A RIDE!

Obviously you don't have a deer problem. I've even started using feeders, and corn, to distract them. But they still eat my peas to the dirt. I'd have to stay out there every night with a shotgun to hold them off. It's like a looters riot after a hurricane.

I planted chufa and fertilized corn this week. Not a damn drop of rain since!
I've had storm cells that formed just west of my hilltop, today. Then moved WEST!
I could literally watch them form, so close that I watched the rainfall probably 1/4 mile or less.
Then watch it slowly move AWAY! 😠
