Trying to build up my son’s weight room by adding dumbbells but a complete set is EXPENSIVE. So, I’d like to get him the adjustable ones, where the weight can be changed. I prefer the ones that go up to 52 lbs each but will consider the ones that goes up to 90 lbs each of the price is right. Let me know if you have any. Thanks

I would just stay of facebook marketplace and find a set of normal ones dirt cheap. I've been working out for about a year on 4 dumbells. A set of 15lb to warm up and a set of 35's for strength. I did recently add a set of 10's for some straight arm strength training.

Look seriously into calisthenics training with an adjustable bar,and maybe some parallets . I believe that kind of training will give you both strength and flexibility, and functionality.

Not saying that would be the case with your son but I've seen big heavy muscled guys who couldn't bend over and touch their toes. I would rather have a functional body than look like someone's idea of what is good.
