Person's was immediately fired by AU. Ehhhhh...not exactly. I think the bigger problem for AU is that Pearl was hired while still under a show cause. In doing so, AU basically agreed to harsher penalties if infractions occur on his watch.

It's coming. I would guess sometime in the next 5 years. I honestly think you are right. The only problem is, I believe, that college coaches and fans don't make up the NCAA. It is the freakin administrators/ bureaucrats.
