Yep, read it entered lower back and exited through his stomach. But my understanding is he's still alive and supposedly [mostly] out of danger? Insane.

Heck of a bullet to get shot in the leg and have part of his intestines and colon removed. Every report I have seen said he was shot in the back as an ambush.

Two separate news articles last night said "shot in the leg". Like a lot of early news reports they had an error.

His family and PR guy said today that he had part of the internal organs removed. The first report I saw was last night was "breaking" on ESPN and it said shot in back.
Lord, please help us get our nation straightened out.

The video clearly shows it was attempted murder. Mob beat the hell out of the motorcycle driver that brought the shooter. Haven’t heard if they found shooter yet. He’s in for a world of hurt when they do find him. By all accounts Ortiz is a stand up guy.

I saw the news this morning and they have arrested another guy in connection with the shooting. From the video it definitely looked like a murder attempt he is a hero in the DR, not sure why anyone would want to kill him... then again it is the DR.
