I've seen the clear(ish) shotgun shells before in 12ga, but can't seem to find any in 20ga. Anybody know if such a creature even exists? Thinking of getting into TSS for turkeys....obviously hull color isn't a big deal but the clear ones look cool, so if I gotta buy hulls anyway, might as well be them.

Ballistic Products is your friend, but not showing clear in 20. You could probably put them in a bucket of bleach for a few days......

Most recipes seem to be hull specific. You may want to hold off before you buy them.

Ah...didn't know that. I'm hoping I can find some storebought TSS that performs well, just for simplicity's sake, but haven't completely ruled out reloading

You can find them. Bring an extra arm and leg to pay for it.

Where I've seen them for sale is one place I know you will not shop. 😀

As far as I know, all 20 gauge hulls are yellow. Supposed to be that way for safety reasons. I did see some very old red 20 gauge shells at a flea market once, I wish I would have bought them.

Yes. There is a safety reason you only find factory 20ga in yellow. It is because a 20 will slide into a 12ga chamber and lodge halfway down the barrel. In the heat of things, it would be easy to think it didn’t feed one and cycle the action again. This puts a live shell in the chamber with a block in the barrel. That is why I stress to the kids I teach, to never put 20ga in any pocket of your vest when shooting 12ga.
