He has made Donaldson trade bait for a closer. Not quite. MAYBE Ender Inciarte.
A mans got to know his limitations.

Yep, that Riley kid can mash! Ol' Dansby is finally earning his check . I was hoping they'd get rid of him for some pitching, but he's hitting pretty good now. They need some help on the mound.

He has made Donaldson trade bait for a closer. I hope someone is dumb enough to trade a closer for any one position player.

The trade bait is Camargo and minor league pitching depth. He is tradebait by virtue of the fact that the Braves don't have a place for him to start and he is good, but that doesn't solve the problem. When Inciarte is back what do you do realizing that Acuna and Markekis have outfield spots? A. Bench a Gold Glove Centerfielder B. Bench an all star slugging third baseman C. Bench the current hottest hitter in the bigs Two spots for three players is why GMs get paid big bucks.
Lord, please help us get our nation straightened out.

If you can’t get takers for Inciarte, then sure you bench him and play him to give rest days. He’s way behind the other 3 as a hitter. They better do something to replace Gausman in the rotation, sooner than later. Then add a bullpen arm closer to the trade deadline.

Something happened after the all star game last year with Inciarte. There was a disagreement between he and the coach and they benched him for a game or so. He hasn't played the same since. He shoulda been shopped in the off season. Carmargo is a player without a position with the braves. Best to trade him while he has value. They can sure use help in both the rotation and pen...imo.
The harder I practice, the luckier I get.

Speaking of Riley, be interesting to see how well he hits after he's played a series or two against everyone else. Those pitchers learn fast, lota kids come up and put up super numbers till they figure out how to get him out.

I agree that Inciarte's bat makes him the one the Braves would like to trade or he;ll be on the bench. Culberson handling right handed Pinch hitting and Ender from the left.

8 in a row. This team is fun to watch. A great combination of youth and veteran players. Maybe K will give the pitching staff a shot in the arm.

Saw something the other day that made me smile...2/3rds of the braves lineup has a higher batting average than The Bryce Harper. And Harper's probably making more than that 2/3s combined. He's good but way overvalued as a player, but he does help fill the stands.
Lord, please help us get our nation straightened out.

They went out and got a proven Closer and some more Bullpen help before the deadline so they must be serious about winning this thing.

I think they made some good moves that will give this team a chance to make a run without destroying the farm club rosters. Supposedly the Braves have talent stacked like cord wood. I'd love to see them win the pennant yearly like they did in the 90s.

Well, its pretty dang obvious the Braves still aint got a closer. Back to back blown saves, wow! Well technically he didn't blow the save yesterday, they were tied when he came into the game.

Worse than a blown save. He got credited with the loss. The thing is, and I've seen both of his appearances as a Brave and the other teams are not exactly killing the ball off of him all the time. He has had some really bad luck hits against him, excluding the HR blast. Too many pitches being left in the middle of the plate. Once they let Kimbrel get away they have been snakebit on closers. Surely they have someone in their farm system that can throw 100+ for strikes for just an inning.
Lord, please help us get our nation straightened out.

We should have grabbed Kimbrel 3 year, 43 million contract. 5.68 ERA in 14 appearances. Oh and he's on the DL currently. No thanks.
