Yep. We just finished up ourb7yo season. So far we've mostly had great parents and coaches to deal with, but the stories I've heard from coaches is just mind-boggling and sad. Apparently it gets really cut-throat and clickish when it comes to the post-season "All Star" travel teams.
I hear stories about back stabbing, parents trying to run coaches or other players/parents off, parents trying to organize a mutiny and take over teams.....it is unreal that people get that wrapped up in it.
7 year olds, for crying out loud!
As awful as it may sound, I'm thankful GomerJr isnt quite good enough to make All Stars so that we don't have to deal with such nonsense.

It only gets slightly better as they age too. The kids usually figure out that baseball is not their talent and want to quit before the parents figure it out.
Lord, please help us get our nation straightened out.

Don’t worry. Just teach them to throw, catch, and hit. Daddy ball is over about 13 years old. Most of the boys whos Dads played politics for them hate baseball by then and start playing lacrosse. In high school only the best play.
Hunting brings out the worst in people.

Why any kid would play any sport at 5-6 is beyond me they don't, the parents want em to play.
I've spent most of the money I've made in my lifetime on hunting and fishing. The rest I just wasted.....

In 5-6 year baseball dealing with parents is at least 1 billion times harder than dealing with the kids. That is all Oh come on. You don't like the fund raising? You don't like the parent that thinks their child is Ken Griffey Jr.? Lol.. I'm with you bud.
