It was a sad day on this forum when everyone talked about what a great guy he was

No it was a sad day when Doug jones was elected to represent the state of Alabama. It was a disappointing day when we had that guy ( I think his name was joc or dick......no it was Jbc) leading the charge on here to get folks to vote for Doug jones

I've stated it before on here. First off, he blatantly uses religion to further himself politically and personally. Secondly, I have a very close friend that worked for the State Supreme Court and through them, I have been able to see how he treats people until he thinks they can do something for them. Like I said find the transcripts and read for yourself. Judge Price asked him numerous times if the Commandments are part of the history and basis of Judeo Christian law, which they clearly are, and everytime Moore turned it into something else that clearly violates the anti establishment clause. All he had to do was say "yes" to Judge Price one time and they would have stayed and still might be there today, but that would not have agreed with his martyr/personal benefit narrative. I didn't last time and won't again vote for Jones, but I WILL NEVER cast a ballot for Moore.

So basically you helped put Jones in office.......same as voting for him.

Well I bet his son in law which is" associated " with him is a good friend to have and I've known his daughter since i was 12 so keep stupid comments like that aside...i ain't taking up for him but I will for friends...

This guy has been on the internet begging for money since he screwed us all over in the last election. Roy Moore gave us Doug Jones. If his son in law helped give us Doug Jones, he can kiss my ass and so can you.

Roy Moore didn't give us Jones.....the people that stayed home and refused to vote for a candidate though flawed was way better than any Democrat gave us Jones.

Lets start the A-Hole Party. We already got it in power, so we might as well make it official.

I’m hopeful that you fellers will do what is needed in the primaries to keep Ol’ Roy from being the nominee this go around. If not then you can just about bet on a full term for Jones. Blaming the folks that wouldn’t vote for him is a weak argument. A candidate has to convince people to vote for them. After the last election it should be pretty obvious Roy’s ship has sailed. He can’t carry the middle of the road voters (for Alabama that would mean most anyone who doesn’t pull the lever for the straight party GOP). But hey, Alabama’s politics is about as messed up as a football bat anyhow.

As far as Moore’s character, I know a couple of folks who have dealt with him on a personal level. Both have said he’s a grade A asshat to anyone that he has nothing to gain from (aka the common folk). A lot of folks need to wake up and smell the coffee. He’s not electable nor someone that should be elected dog catcher, much less to the US Senate.

You all are entitiled to your opinion, but that is all it is, an opinion. Some of you believe the political hit job pulled against him. Go ahead and have at it. Insult me or whatever. I personally don't think he should run, but not based on character. Roy Moore speaks publicly what he believes, and doesn't back down on his convictions. We need more politicians that "wrap" themselves in scripture. I was brought up in the same community. I went to school with his siblings, all of my school years. He certainly isn't perfect, but a pedophile, he is not.

What does you going to school with someone's siblings have to do with anything?

Duh. I know them all. I know the family. They are all good decent people.

It's hard to believe that with over 4.5 million people in Alabama there isn't at least one that is a better candidate than either one of them. I would bet that there is at least one at any of the Walker county goat sales that would qualify.

It's exactly the same as voting for Jones. Those who didn't for the republican helped put Jones in office. I'm sorry YOU can't see that. Perhaps you've become numb, to the reality, having to vote for democrats in Selma.

I voted for Jones. No way I could vote for someone twice removed from the Alabama Supreme Court.

I'd vote for Tuberville or Byrnes or probably any other GOP candidate except Roy Moore and judging from the last go around many others feel the same way. If the Alabama GOP is ignorant enough to to have him as their candidate, then Jones winning is on them. I've often said Hillary Clinton is the worst presidential candidate of my lifetime, but Moore is the worst candidate for a Senate seat that I know of in my lifetime.

While I think Roy Moore gets an unfair amount of criticism around here I totally agree that he should stay out of this Senate race.
