Wife rear-ended someone. Pretty minor damage on her car though I know the dollars can add up fast.. We have full coverage and a 500 deductible. Any suggestions on where to take it and how to handle it?
It really just bent up the hood and the grill a little. But the hood won't open just because of how one piece folded over the other. No reason to think any frame damage or anything.
It's a 06 Camry that we will sell soon. Love in Chilton County but expect to have to go to somewhere in Birmingham. At least this side of town.

Damage to the other car? Was a claim filed by the other driver?
If so, then you might as well get it fixed right...you're paying your deductible either way.

If you then decided to fix your vehicle, you would have to pay the collision deductible. I have never seen a standard (admitted) insurance company for personal auto coverage that has a liability deductible.

I understand that's how it works for liability only coverage. Isn't full coverage different, though? OP stated that he has full coverage. Even if not, it's going to be much cheaper pay a $500 deductible to get the car fixed than it is to pay out of pocket. Wife had a guy hit her parked car in the parking lot at her work a couple of months ago. Barely scratched the driver's side rear door. Nearly $1000 to fix it, though. Guy who hit her car (stand-up guy who left a note on my wife's car, given that she wasn't in it at the time) had to pay a deductible (State Farm).
