My neighbor has lost his mind sometime in the last month or so, he's only 45 and rents a house from my grandad but hes been without water and power for over a month ive known him my whole life and id have a beer with him every once in a while. He is a great body man on cars and built a nice house few years ago but lost it. He's slowly become like this over past year but he's flat out crazy now talking about hows he's been in the cia and NASA and special forces. Is there anything that his mom can do?

After reading this, inquiring minds want to know if your"neighbor" is JohnnyLoco?

Sig Sauer, to hell and back reliable.

Whatever suits you just tickles me plum to death.

Can I refill your eggnog for you? Get you something to eat? Drive you out to the middle of nowhere and leave you for dead?

check for Meth or other drugs first. If there are no drugs then call the county Mental Health Dept. He could just have a simple medical problem that is causing his brain to go wonky. Diabetes and blood sugar levels can make folks stop acting normal.

Needs some mental health. Could be off of meds or just lost it. Like Skinny said, needs a work up, labs etc. I see it everyday at work.

I've seen urinary tract infection make folks crazy as hell. They receive antibiotics and are fine.

If he won’t cooperate have his mother go talk to the Probate Judge of your county and see what the options are for involuntary commitment. Typically they will keep him just long enough to get his meds right.

She had him picked up 3 weeks ago and they kept him 2 days but it might be like something said above with his body I don't know...

The person known as BinLaden was killed in a joint air strike in June of 2003.
So, yeah he's lying.

another obvious thing...are there any children around him? If so, then get the children away and call the local mental health department.

No he's got a 15yr old boy that lives with his mom and her husband in a solid environment. I wouldn't let a kid under 18 stay with him without power n water. He's walks to his mom's every morning 2 miles to eat then fishes my pond some evenings to eat. I won't turn my back to him anymore I'm afraid he might think im an enemy combatant lol

I have an in-law who’s schizophrenic. It sounds like almost the same exact scenario. He also didn’t get bad until the last year or so. He’s doing fine now but he was just pretty much useless for a while. He’s in his 40s has his own house but just gave up an was living like a homeless person. He still has to have pretty much daily supervision to keep him on the level. Dam shame for his dad who had to take care of all this in his 70s. But everything you said matches almost to a tee with what we seen.

Mental illness is often over looked or ignored and it's a crying shame. The reason it's over looked to me is criminals like to use it as a excuse and it's easier to ignore it than deal with it. It's treatable with medication for the biggest part. Intervene and help him out.

Has a house inspection been done since he is renting from ya'll?

To live without power and water can produce some nasty conditions to live in.
How does he bathe, or does he?
Where'e he use the bathroom and what does he do with the waste?

Whole lot of health factors which could be adding to his confusion.

God Bless,
David B.

Sir, good luck with the kicking out process, the squatters seem to have more rights than they deserve

I threw one out a couple of years ago. Cops told me I couldn't throw her out....I told em I'd drag her down the driveway by the hair and roll her into the road....way the hell before they could get back up here. They left..I went to the trailer and told her she had 24 hours to get out before I wound her hair up around my fist and started dragging. She left.

Jb, the obvious question to me is, have things been disappearing around your house or neighborhood. If it's drugs, he has to be stealing to pay for them. They don't give that crap away.

Baker Act can have someone committed if they are a danger to them or others. Almost did this to a buddy about a year and a half ago who was experiencing delirium tremens from alcohol with drawals.
