I have had Jeeps for 16-17 years, this is the one I don’t see Me ever selling. It is about as clean as one comes and is very quiet running, drives tight no squeaks or pops. 2005 LJ Unlimited Rubicon with 98k Miles Factory 4.0 liter, 6 speed, Dana 44 F/R lockers, 4.11 gears, SYE, CV drive shaft 3.5” Old man Emu lift, Rock Sliders, front and Rear bumpers, 33x12x16” tires I have a Gibson exhaust to put on it but just have not gotten around to it yet. I drove it to Atlanta from Birmingham on 1/2 tank of gas, when I bought the hard top. It is a great time and pleasure to drive

Saw a build a while back where someone took an LJ, cut about 10" out of the tub basically making it a TJ tub on an LJ frame, effectively making it like a TJ with a stretched wheelbase. Had 40s on it on full width D60's. That was one bad dude.

My other is one that I am still driving as I work on it. 1972 C10 Cheyenne Super short wheel base, It has a little damage on the front passenger side but not enough to keep me from enjoying it. After the other one is complete this one has some work coming its way. It has a 454 big block in it and pretty dang fun to drive. I never thought I would find one of these I could afford but it kind of fell in my lap a couple years ago. They are getting hard to find and dang expensive. Mauser, That is my next project if I can find a decent one. Those things are getting sky high also.Love the fj40's.

At one time I had an FJ62. Loved the size of it with the four doors. Put a 3" lift on it, 4.56 gears, ARB bumper, locker in the rear, roof rack, winch,...but an inline 6 with 160hp that got 12mpg just SUCKED. If I ever won the lottery, I'd buy another one. Add Dana 60 axles, a small lift, Chevy crate motor,...

A soft top jeep is like driving a cheap tent. Whatever the weather is outside, it is inside.
