So I found a hairline crack in our most used toilet in the house.

I just went on Lowes and Home Depot to find a new family chair. The prices are all in the range of $100 to as much as I want to spend, but the options are psychotic.

I could buy a smart toilet, with fans, and air conditioning, that will report to my smart phone with an app. Heck, I could probably buy one that does fecal health analysis. I just want one that works and never gets stopped up.

Toilets are like everything else. A wide range of prices. None can do what you want, you'll need to school the users on what not to flush and what is too much toilet paper per wipe! it's a never-ending struggle if you have women in the user group.

Don’t want to get into all the details, but ask anyone who’s been to Japan, their toilets are unreal. Wish I could get one here .... they sell Toto models here, not the same...

The lighted Kholer toilet seat is nice.

Helps aiming at night without turning lights on

Last 2 we bought at Lowes were water saver Kohler that flush very powerfully. We got a rebate from the county for water savings so it cost about $100 each. Pretty good toilet. Yeah you could go nuts with options. Amazing what toilets and hoses can cost rofl

Everything I looked up online says the toilets "Save Water" and are "Water efficient".

Well I should say "No shucks!" but I want a machine that will flush and keep itself clean. Aint no clean asses in California and that is prolly why they got the biggest hepatitis problem in the lower 48 cause they cant get their poop away.

Fully glazed trapway is a must. If you are fairly long in the tooth, a higher seat wouldn't hurt a thing either.

Obviously get you a high flush ability rating. And get you a squatty potty to go with it.

Lower is better for pooping. I would rather have sore knees then be full of chit.

Somebody should give this advertising company an award for bravery.

Get a Crane or Toto. I've put 4 Crane toilets in our house when we built it in 07. I put the longer bowl toilet in the master bath, not the more round ones. I like em and they have worked well.

You sure don't want a water saver of any kind. No need for courtesy flushes at my house.

Elongated. It’s hard to go back to round when you get used to that. Comfort height is nice too

We screwed up and got the “comfort height” one and it’s terrible. Almost to the point of throwing it out.

About 15 years ago we had an Eljer pressure flush toilet installed, uses about 1.6 gallons of water, and if it broke today I would put another one just like it in.

I can see the lighted toilet being handy. At night when the night king has one touching cotton.

I think that toilet would be called a turd-gobbler.

Champion only problem is that's it's hard to replace the o-ring without it leaking. You have to buy the whole thing. Kolher is an easy fix. Lasts one I put in was the HD brand chair height elongated, no problems with them and their $88.00

I need to go ahead and buy me 2 matchin toilets. I got one barely leaking from the inside and its cheaper to replace the whole toilet! Dont buy the kind with the large and small button on the top necause parts are not gonna happen at local store. I just bought the house and people amaze me in how lazy, dirty and just crappy work that they do.

I had one in my house that didn't use the standard parts that you could get at the big box stores. Called out a plumber and it was going to take 3-4 days to get the parts in and be like $100! I said screw it and slapped a whole new toilet on there that took the standard innards - with the elongated bowl of course.

I have one of these and it’s undefeated so far but they ghost flush 2 or 3 times an hour and there doesn’t seem to be a solution. Seal on the flush valve leaks and it’s a very common problem.
