I have a trip wire 18" above ground level but the coons keep tripping it. Any suggestions out there? Probably going to set dog proof traps and catch the coons.

That would be my plan.

thanks Elkhunter. Thought about rigging a root type trigger but figured it would reduce catch chances. I have the trap set in my yard in Cecil where two boars have been showing up and rooting around my driveway. One night they tried to root themselves into the door after the coons had triggered it.
