It's been dead in here for a few weeks so let's discuss something:

6.5 PRC has my interest. Why? Because I've got a guy telling me he has a .2 group out of Ruger Hawkeye long range and he's consistent .5 or under.

That's stupid accurate. That's a factory rifle. Ruger is on fire fellas. They are also chambering the precision rifle in 6.5 PRC and in .300 PRC.

At the top of my wish list would be the Hawkeye Long Range chambered in .300 PRC. If it would print .5 and under consistently I would probably sell a couple $4k guns and see if I couldn't get some of the money I have wasted back.

6.5 PRC - I'm not super interested because I've beat the 6.5's to death and I had a 6.5 Rocket or sometimes called a .264 Rocket... maybe 10 years ago... grin That's what a 6.5 SAUM was before there was a 6.5 SAUM for those that don't know.

But I might get one of these Ruger rifles anyway. Either the Hawkeye Long range or the Precision rifle. I never could convince myself to keep a Ruger Precision because I have no use for 6.5 Creed or .308.. with other chamberings being too small for my taste.

Anyone else been paying attention to this?

Besides 257 anyone else shooting 6.5 PRC?

I've been interested in one. I have a Customized Ruger RPR 6.5 Creedmoor just collecting dust in my safe that i thought about selling, and replacing with the PRC. I would really like to see a PRC chambered in an AR10 😀

A friend of mine has a custom rifle ordered in 6.5 PRC. Should be in by end of summer. Probably load up a few for him and see what it likes.

I had my Tikka T3 300wsm converted into a 6.5 PRC. only been able to shoot it once, but really like it. Recoil is only slightly more than my 6.5 Creedmore. Looking forward to seeing what it can do, as the break in shots were less than .5" groups.

Anybody now the dimensions of the mag well on a .308 RPR?

I wonder if its long enough to accept a .300 PRC? If so, a barrel swap would be easy...

Being that the .300 PRC requires a magnum length long action I'm guessing it wouldn't be, but who knows??

You’ve got my attention now. Either of those at those speeds are bad medicine for just about anything standing in front of them in North America

I don't have any experience with it yet but what I'm hearing is for best performance you need a CIP length magazine and you want a .750 bolt to feed reliably.

So this is another 338 Lapua basically. We will see who can shoe horn it into something else they make 300 Win Mag CIP length mags so......

The new Magnum RPR is chambered for it

6.5 PRC would be on my short list if I didn't already own a .264 Win mag. Outstanding caliber that takes advantage of all the developments in powder technology in the last few years.

the 6.5prc has been on my radar as well. I just can’t make my mind up if I want to spend the money on another custom or buy one off the shelf.

My custom build was not that expensive. I found a really cheap WSM donor

6.5 PRC is what the creedmore fanboys think they have

Blows the 6.5x55 away. I like the 6.5x284. It’s a very good round. This prc is special tho.

Any 6.5 Creedmoor owner/fanboy that thinks they have a 6.5 PRC is delusional ... Or smoking some good shucks
