Like the title says, do any of you know a great lab owner that raises pups? Not looking for a bird dog, but doesn't hurt if thats the caliber of dog that I can find- preferably a chocolate female pup. My last lab was 11, got hit by a car and passed away about 3 months ago....I think I'm ready to start looking again.

I know everybody loves the puppy stage. That wears thin quick after having to clean up accidents, replace all the chewed up items and deal with totally unruly behavior. Another option would be an older dog that has been worked with. Laidback has 2 black males that fit that description at a very reasonable price (cheaper than a lot of puppies). Just look down a few posts. If you are set on a puppy, you can find lots of litters on the retriever training forum. retrievertraining.net

I dont know if they plan on more pups but I got mine from JAMCVEY on here. She is a year old last week and has been great, good head and strong drive. I dont hunt her but she has a hunting background. The mom is a choco and I believe they had several choco females last time. Hopefully he will see this and comment.
