That's the reason Nick has been able have a career. His actual last name is Coppola, and Francis is his daddy.

He did have a back end deal in his Matrix contract that gave up some of his profit sharing points and royalties to the special effects team that worked on the movie. That number has never been released and probably Reeves himself doesn't know, but it's highly doubtful that it went into the millions of dollars that has been claimed.

Him giving to PETA in the past is factually true as well.

The story that I read years ago was that keanu got like $400 million from the Matrix 2,3 and release of Matrix Video game. He thru a party and gave over a 100 million to small parts / extra at lije $1 million per attendee. When asked why he did it he said the amount of money he recieved was more then he could spend in a lifetime and that others deserved money also. He added it was still more then he could spend.

The story is on many different websites and has been blown out of proportion and generally gotten bigger and bigger over the years. I read about it in the Wal Street Journal and it was a contractual thing on his part where he deferred some of his earnings to the special effects crew. It was a nice gesture but probably not the millions and millions that they report. You can find the story with a quick google search and the dollar figure is always different.... 35 mil, 70mil, 100 mil. That kind of money was not involved and especially was not set aside for Keanu Reeves. The Matrix only did 173 mil domestically and a little over 400 mil worldwide, and I doubt that Keanu was due 25% of the gross of the film.

I watch everything Keanu does, he is a gun nut. That makes him one of us. I have enjoyed several of his movies and look forward to the next. He is not a snowflake liberal idiot! In Hollyweird that is rare.

BC.. the percentage was for sequels and video. Video alone is at 3 billion in sales. Have no idea what the correct total is? But, Im putting tne over under @ 200 for the number of bad guys keanu takes out in John Wick 3. Love Keanu!

I'm looking forward to that movie, and the original is one of my favorites.
