Ticks, the very reason I quit turkey hunting. I hate them, but they seem to love me. We found a tick in our house a couple weeks ago, and I suspected it came in on our shih tzu dog. He takes pills to keep them from biting him, but apparently they still get on his hair.
•Fast forward to Sunday, we were sitting in Church, my daughter is playing with my 10 year old sons hair, she said Dad look, sure enough a tick buried in his scalp. It was a real fiasco trying to get it out.
•This evening, after I got home from work, we let the dog out in the yard to do his business. He was just in the short grass that I mow, when he came back toward the house I noticed a dark spot on his side . It was a large tick in his fur. He had picked one up that fast. After I got it off him, I decided to gone in and put on shorts. Halfway up my thigh was another dang tick. He wasn’t stuck yet, thank goodness.

I’ve got to do something, apparently they’ve hatched out around my house? I’ve never owned any guinea’s, but I’m about to buy some.
I also went to Walmart and bought some bags of the granular insect killer for your yard.

If anyone has some suggestions, I’m all ears. Thanks, Robinhedd

Ticks are like Democrats. You can't totally avoid the blood suckers and you can't get rid of all of them.

Two roads diverged in the woods and I took the one with deep ruts, hills and mud.It may be bumpy but WHAT A RIDE!

Permethrin = no more ticks. I've never sprayed a yard before and dont know what effect it may have on grass, but you wont have anymore ticks

Give bravecto to the dogs a lil pricey but it's good for 3 months
And we treat and spray our fenced yard where they stay and hardly ever fond a tick or fleas on them can't remember the name of the spray but it's in a blue bottle you hook to a hose and the granules you scatter over the yard

I’ve been giving the dog Bravecto, but it apparently doesn’t stop the ticks from getting on him. It only stops them from biting him.

you can spray the yard with permethrin mixed to .5% with no affect to the grass I spray our yard perimeter and around the house every year it will kill everything.

Martin's Permethrin 32%. You can dilute it to whatever mixture you want. Order it if you can't find it locally

I firmly believe that a double gallows should be constructed on the East Lawn of The White House. Politicians who willfully and shamelessly violate their oath to uphold and defend the Constitution of the United States of America should be swiftly tried and, upon conviction, publicly hanged at sunup the day after conviction. If multiple convicts are to be hanged they can choose with whom to share the gallows or names shall be drawn from the hangman's hat to be hanged 2 at a time.

This is the way to go and hit your pets, follow the instructions. You can also spray hunting clothes and they are good for the season. Get some cotton balls spray with as well then put in paper tubes place out in the yard around structure. Rodents will take for bedding and kill the ticks at nesting.

If you live out in the country. Free range chickens or guineas. I also bought some granular insecticide that I got from Lowe’s. I’m pretty sure it kills ticks.

Don’t let the dog in the house. I’ll be damned if I let some animal suck up my air conditioning without earning it.

Other than nothing, what does a shitzoo contribute to one’s family; the wolfpack? They can’t even keep one of my feet warm when it gets cold, they don’t swim, and they aren’t very smart. They’re bums. Non-Athletes.

Sounds crazy but my dad did this for years at the horse barn and I've been doing it to our yard for years and don't have any bug problems at all. Take one of those weed and feed spray bottles that go on your hose mix half and half scope and Dawn. Spray yard and everything in the yard with it. Bushes, patio furniture everything . Knock on wood but I do this every 2 weeks and no flies, ticks, mosquitos , flies etc. Fire ants it doesn't work on them bastages .

Get more possums. They eat ticks.
