****WARNING - May increase blood pressure.****Why could the powers that be not treat him as an adult? I realize that he has plead guilty instead of going to trial, but aren't there cases where a juvenile is "tried as an adult"? And, why is the maximum sentence as an adult only life? To answer one part of your question, laws do not allow the death penalty for persons that commit their crimes while they are under 18 even when adjudicated as an adult. I can't answer why he wasn't adjudicated as an adult though unless it was part of his plea agreement.
Lord, please help us get our nation straightened out.

The problem is that the judge went along with the wimpy prosecutor's plea agreement to grant Youthful/Juvenile Offender status.
The judge should have rejected the agreement and denied the youthful offender application.
So now scumbag's fate is governed by lenient juvenile offender laws.

I think I'd want some time with him myself. That's exactly what I'm thinking. I would hire him a good lawyer and try my best to set him free.

He deserves to be gangbanged in a prison cell everyday for the rest of his life. Poor little, defenseless baby girl. Mercy. He more than likely will be but if I were the father he would not make it to prison and if he did then he would not last long. More stuff finds its way in the prison than there is on the street. Lots of caring fathers in prison but they are some very bad people and accidents do happen.

You're right about this story increasing Blood Pressure. So much so that I couldn't read it all. I read enough though and I still stand by this statement. If I was the girls Daddy I'd be hoping he got off scott free at the trial.
