I’m a border collie kind of guy.But for some reason my 13 year old decided she wanted a Aussie mini. Picked it up Friday it’s 6 weeks old lady had all its shots that day with paper work.Well to today it pooped about a 6 inch worm.Is that maybe from the shots from Saturday that my have cleaned it out?Ive never encountered this on my other pups in the past.

Roundworms. I tell people I am more surprised when a puppy doesn't have them than when they do. It may take several dewormings before you clear them all out. Generally, they cause no problems (other than grossing out owners) unless they are in large numbers. Chances are they dewormed her Friday and you're seeing them pass now. Nothing to worry about. Call your vet and set up an appt for 9wks shots and they will check a fecal then. Start heartworm (which also prevents intestinal parasites) prevention and flea prevention now.

Make sure the worm medicine is good for round worms. Back when I had beagles I used nemex2 for roundworms, if I remember correctly.

About any worm medicine out there will kill roundworms. Hooks and whips, can be a little more difficult sometimes.
