Unfortunately I was cutting grass today as well. I have to travel this week for work and had to use do it when I could. We did Easter yesterday with my grandpa. It was his birthday and he’s in the hospital so we made a day out of it with him then carried the tradition hunting eggs at his house afterwards. I still made time for the wife and my lil buddy and enjoyed the beautiful weather today.

Sat around and talked about life, love and family.
Beautiful day. Got home about 4. Took a 2 hour nap then fixed a pot of vegetable soup and a pot of spaghetti and sauce for next week.

Priceless. Thank you Jesus!!!

When I was a kid, Easter was special to everyone. The Churchs overflowed and all the ladies turned out dressed in new outfits and new Easter bonnets. Big family dinners and egg hunts. Life was simpler and I admit I miss it.

Life is too short to only hunt and fish on weekends!

Guess you can’t spend time with family doing that?

I worked from Dawn to dusk yesterday to get all my stuff done outside so I wouldn't have to lift a finger today.

Spent time with over 100 family members all afternoon. Talked with my 9 year old on the way down about the importance of the day and it’s true meaning. I guess it’s up to the individual what Easter is for their family.

In the Bible it tells us that men are the spiritual leaders of the home and community. If we believe that our world as a whole is losing sight of spirituality, and I completely agree with you that it is, then it’s only the fault of us men that it’s gotten that way.

I can understand that. There are some exceptions.

Church, lunch at mom and dads with the inlaws. Came home around 430 and worked in the garden then cut a little grass.

Well, I spent all afternoon on my tractor. So, I guess I’m going to hell.

My thoughts are is that Easter Sunday is a special day. But it just doesn’t seem like that nowadays. As long as I’m alive I’ll make sure that it’s not just another day for my family. Just like my folks and grandparents did when I was a kid, teenager and then a young adult.
