Who's got one?

Tell me all about it.

The good, the bad, the ugly...

Looking at one like this one:

Don't have one, but know people who do and have fired it. It's really picky about which ammo runs well.

Unsolicited advice - The Browning Buckmark, Ruger 22/45, S&W Victory, and any of the Ruger Mark series (Luger shape) will run virtually any ammo you feed them, including cheap lead round nose stuff.

The other types/shapes of .22 semi-auto pistols like the Walther you asked about, the Sig Mosquito, Ruger SR22, and many others all seem to be really picky about ammo.

Yep I have one of the ruger sr 22 and that thing is a POS ! It won't cycle any ammo. I e tried about everything in it. Makes a good paper weight.

I’ve got the target version. It’s a shooter. I’ve only shot CCI’s in it though.

I’ve got one that’s about 8-10 years old. Mine shoots good and has cycled every I’ve put through it.

I have one that I got as a graduation present in 2008. Currently sitting on probably 4k rounds through it at this point. A lot of which were with a suppressor attached and the gun very rarely gets a cleaning. Never had a problem out of it except this one time probably 3k rounds in my slide broke. Called walther and they send me a RA and shipping label for my old slide and sent me a brand new one free of charge. It's a good little pistol and I wouldn't hesitate to buy one. But with that being said, I got a S&W M&P22 compact about two years ago and it made me stop shooting the walther. That M&P is a sweet little gun and has a much better trigger.

The biggest thing is no matter what gun you get, buy a couple hundred rounds of good quality high velocity ammo and put that through it before you shoot anything else in it. If you do that and break it in right then you shouldn't have problems feeding it anything you want.

Well your first problem is that you bought a semi automatic ruger handgun. With the exception of the MK II type rimfires and wheel guns any handgun with ruger stamped on it is pretty much junk laugh

I don't know what the "QD" is, but I had a regular P22 several years ago. It was a fun little pistol, but yeah it was picky about ammo. It loved CCI though, particularly the stingers and minimags. I bought it off a buddy for $100, with maybe 2 mags of ammo run through it. Kept it for a few years and then sold it for $300. Kinda wish I still had it...if I run across another one that is stupid-cheap, I may have to snag it.

I've got one that's not OD, it's all black. I could NEVER hit anything with a pistol, until I bought this one. I have shot rattle snakes and copperheads with it from a distance of about 10 steps without a miss. It does like CCI's more than anything. All of those snakes were head shots. I don't plan on finding another .22 pistol.

I got one with a 5" barrel and slide extension. One of the most comfortable and accurate pistols I've got. Never had a cycle or magazine problem at all. But then I only buy good brands of ammo. Typically avoid the cheap stuff in any caliber that might be fed through an auto.

I've put about 300 rounds through mine so far. It's a fun pistol to shoot.

If trucks and cars were .22 semiautos everyone would Uber everywhere. When they run it's great when they don't everyone learns new cuss words.

Only hits count.

Had one. Hammer broke after 200 shots or so. Walther fixed for free. I sold it.
