When he's on, he's fun to watch. And frankly he does seem a bit more likeable than he used to. Maybe he'll get his personal life sorted out and on the right track. But regardless, he was and still is a helluva golfer.

It has little to do with his affairs although I have zero respect for anyone who can't honor their marital commitment. By multiple accounts of those close to him, he is a cheapskate who never picks up the check. He is a poor tipper. When he's finished eating he just gets up from the table and leaves the rest of his party. He treats the tour employees like crap. He treats other players that he sees beneath him like they are garbage. That comes from former coaches , players and tour employees. He's definitely a great player and has a ravenous fan base on his jock that think he is God. I doubt he cares even a little bit about my opinion of him and he shouldn't but it takes haters like me to balance out the groupies.

I, personally, wouldn't walk across the road to watch him eat a bale of briar hay.

I don’t necessarily think he’s the best human being, although I do think he has improved very much in that regard. If you call yourself a sports fan and appreciate great athletes, I don’t see how you can’t love this. He is the most dominant athlete in his respective sport of our generation, and I absolutely love and have waited on this moment for years. Well done Big Cat, well done.

Not that I care, but anyone who has came back from all that years ago......it's pretty cool to see.

I'm shocked he pulled out another major. I really thought his career was over a few years ago. He beat a stacked leaderboard too. If his back can hold up he may wind up giving Jack's 18 a scare after all

Right, it's not like he won it in a "down year" when nobody was playing well......in addition to being better, physically, than hes been in a long time, he's clearly better mentally.

Aside from Tigers competive drive there is little to respect from his steroid fueled success. He has won perhaps 3 majors without being equally juiced as Clemond , Barry Bonds and Lenny Dykstra. Treat him like baseball and give him a private cheaters hall of fame. Never forget he lost it all after the BALCO Scandal.

Everything he’s been criticized for on this thread at least one other PGA pro has done as well and been caught. There’s two differences with Tiger.... he’s the greatest of all time and he’s black. I never jump on the racism thing but when it comes to Tiger I honestly believe there’s a lot of closet racism because he’s the best at a white man’s game. A bunch of folks just don’t have enough self esteem to handle that and so they hate Tiger. The others just hate him because he’s the best. These people just generally hate others succeeding in life beyond them.

I think most people like watching Tiger. Even if they don't admit it. Also, did you see his mom? She's 100% Asian.

My body now is ruined by the effect of medically necessary steroids. I have goggle eyes just like tiger did during his years of usuage. Everything rips and slipsout of place. You definitely learn what steroid usage looks like in others and its effect.

Just like MLB officials with steroids, the PGA Tour officials turned their eyes and became Sgt. Schultz — "I know nothing!" — in regard to Woods' (and maybe others) use of PEDs, blood transfusions and whatever else was going on.

Woods was their gravy train. They weren't going to suspend him or publicly out him for using some steroids, especially since the Tour didn't have any kind of real drug testing program. They just rode the gravy train, just like MLB did with McGwire, Bonds and the others.

It was funny to hear some players talking about the need for drug testing and others saying they were just jealous or whining. I guess they had the opportunity to buy illegal steroids and fly to Europe for red blood cell enhancement or whatever else was *wink*wink* not going on.

Read Hank Haney's book if you think Tiger is just like most other tour pros. Racism? I guess I forgot Finau wasn't white when I was pulling for him to win.

Tiger is a villain, just like Lambier or Rodman in the NBA. Every sport has them and it's good for the fans. It makes it more interesting. There are racist of all kinds and colors but let's not act like Tiger hasn't given people plenty of reason not to like him. He's been accused of cheating by his peers to go along with all the infidelity, asshole accusations and cheapskate reputation. Has to be because he's black. (Sarcasm intended)

I don't like that cracker, Patrick Reed , either. Same level of dislike even though he's pigment challenged. I think it's just fine to dislike certain players or to pull for whoever you want. Race may be an issue for some people but for others, they might really just dislike him as a person. Oh, I can't stand Poulter either. Gotta be racism...

Reed may be the single most unlikable player on tour.

Corticosteroids (which is probably what you took) and anabolic steroids for getting ripped are totally different. But yes, neither are good long term.

The one golfer I absolutely pull against and cannot stand and hope never wins again is Poulter. I'm not a big fan of Tiger or Reed but I'm ok with them winning some tournaments...Poulter....NEVER!!

Lot of reports are that Tiger has gotten a lot better, from a personality standpoint, since his injury that nearly ended his career. I think he's a lot more liked by his fellow players than he used to be.

Alan Shipnuck at Golf.com was in the clubhouse yesterday talking with players as they watched Woods in the final holes. Several said he has changed, is more open, more humble, realizes he acted in ways and said things that were wrong years ago, and is different.

Hopefully, that is true (and yes, it seems to be). You gotta love a good redemption/comeback story.

The only golfer I cannot stand is Sergio Garcia. Sorry little punk. I cursed the TV when he won the Masters. I only hope someone shanks a 5 iron off his noggin.
