This weekend I traveled to Summit MS to visit friends and compete in the Smokin' on the Tracks BBQ competition. There were 21 teams competing in pork, ribs, chicken, and brisket. I took third in pork and came in fifth for the event wide grand championship. Between 6 judges and 4 categories, I came in only 19 points behind the champion.

You can mail us all some BBQ in styrofoam coolers with dry ice in it. Just sayin...

Congrats on placing so well. How'd you take that chunk out of your left bird finger?

I was wondering if anyone would notice that. grin I managed to cook it on juices from wrapped ribs a week ago when I was competing at a smaller local event. I won chicken, pork, and grand champion in that one but there were only a few of us in it.

It's a custom built one by HBT smokers.
