Well, after hunting clubs all my life, I have never been in a club that enforced all the rules and or, had a president that followed the rules himself or either he and his buddies didn't have to follow them but everyone else did. I have moved around from club to club only to find the same each and every year. This past season I decided to give it one last try because after meeting with the president and him giving me his word that this club will be ran properly I joined.

Well after this past season hunting with guys that started a first year club and all the ridiculous stealing of trail camera cards, rules being changed after the season started, rules not being followed by several including the president and his buddy (they were two of the biggest culprits and the president's buddy was the one stealing cards. I know because I have pics) lying about selling turkey memberships (president promised me before I joined club he wasn't going to sell any but sold three) and listening to just a lot of nagging drama by certain members, I have decided that I am done with clubs. I have decided that as there may be clubs out there that are good and have presidents that enforce rules and good members that follow the rules, I have not found one. It's sad that hunting clubs are worse than a bunch of women. My wife makes fun of all the club drama. She laughs that men are worse than women!! She's right!!

So, I am done with clubs. I am not looking for a club to join but If anyone finds a 300+ piece of property within an hours drive of Alabaster that they need someone to help lease I would be interested. What you need to know about me incase your interested in partnering up.

1-I hunt more than some but less than others. Usually Fridays and Saturdays and sometimes only once a day
2-I only want to shoot it if I'm going to mount it.
3-I shoot a couple of does with my bow but not my gun.
4-I have ALWAYS put in lots of hours working on the property trimming roads, bush hogging, planting, building shooting houses etc...
5-I DO NOT hunt over corn, I don't even put it out during the off season to get pics.
6-I turkey hunt.
7-I LOVE bass fishing and fish all year long so that keeps me from deer hunting on some days.
8-I don't drink as I am a Deacon in my church and its not allowed. If you want to drink but not hunt that's up to you.
9-I have a son in college that may hunt 5-10 times
10-I expect ALL rules to be followed by everyone!!!!!!
11-I don't agree that one membership covers a husband, wife and 5 children and each one gets to take up a different stand.

Hate you're run into this... the two clubs I'm in don't have the issues you talk about, so there are some out there that avoids these kinds of problems. Number 11 on your list is very important, especially if your hunting tract isn't that big. It's really easy to overpressure land.
