Life gets in the way... Decided this year would be different so I’ve been turning some ground. Man it feels good

I was the same way. I grew up working in the fields growing stuff and then we'd get home and has to work in the gardens too. When I got out on my own I swore I'd never have a garden. Well that feeling has changed. The family and I really enjoy our gardening. And so do my neighbors too. beers

Yep I planted my tomatoes yesterday when I got home from hunting. Weather permitting I'll plant everything else next weekend. Not sure I'll plant corn again this year. The last 2 years it's all been blown over in June storms.

Good luck with that garden! If I do not garden, I feel lost or something. I've gardened all my life and have never regretted it.

Be kind to one another and tell the ones you love that you love them often. We never know what tomorrow will bring.

Dang weather and my schedule has not been good for planting the past 3 weeks. Finally made it happen today even though the soil conditions were not optimal. We put in 2 rows of golden queen, 2 rows of bush Lima and 4 rows of pink eye purple hull. Each row is 250’ Long. I believe we will have plenty if everything goes to plan lol.

Used the old planter I’m slowly rebuilding and it lays down a FINE row with zero hiccups. Even on the bush Lima’s I laid the rows out pretty wide so I can control weeds old school with a single row cultivator. Lots of fun for the kids and me and my wife today

Same here. I grew up helpin plant 2 acres. Im 37. I just bought a house last fall and too busy workin on house and my job, life, fishin and family time. I said nope...im gonna plant a garden this year. So im a month late but im on track. Kid and wife are having fun with it too. Gonna be nice not buyin anything from a store. Let my yard actually pay me instead of costing me.
